Verify Compensation Sources – Step 3 of Our Process

After we determine compensation amount, we need to verify compensation sources, which is the third step in our six-step personal injury case process here at Warren Law Firm. Our process ensures your legal situation is handled as efficiently as possible. Just to recap, the six steps are…

1. Evaluation
2. Determine Compensation
3. Verify Compensation Sources
4. Preliminary Interview and Investigation
5. Settlement Negotiation
6. File Lawsuit

STEP 3 – VERIFY COMPENSATION SOURCES

The third step, after determining compensation amount, is where we figure out what compensation sources are available. The time, effort and expense of a lawsuit won’t be worthwhile if the person responsible for your injury lacks sufficient assets or insurance to pay for damages. Warren Law Firm can help you determine what assets or insurance are available to compensate you.

Remember, you can bring an action against anybody with responsibility for your injury. For example, if a negligent person injures you in the course of working for someone else, that persons’ employer might share some responsibility for your injury. In a car accident, the owner of a vehicle driven by someone else could share some responsibility for your injuries.

It’s not always clear exactly who is responsible for your injuries. If a trucking company encourages their drivers to follow illegal procedures that company can be responsible. If a vehicle owner knowingly creates a dangerous situation with their vehicle, they could be responsible. It’s vital that you hire a professional law firm who can sort these things out following an injury accident.

Our team of experts know where to look to find potential compensation funding sources and how to determine who is responsible for your injuries. We have extensive experience helping people determine who is responsible and what compensation sources are available in personal injury cases.

Determining where compensation might come from is another important part of the legal process in a personal injury case. If no adequate compensation funding sources exist, the time and expense involved in pursuing a case might not be worth it.
